Upper Snake River Resource Center (USRRC)Craighead Beringia South is in the process of developing a resource center for the Upper Snake River Ecosystem. The creation of this center will provide a single source reference point for all biological work preformed in the area, as well as promote communication and cooperation between researchers and the community. The first step involves compiling an electronic bibliography, which would contain biographical citations for all current and historic publications of biological research conducted in the area. To supplement the bibliography an triennial conference will be organized; here researchers can present and discuss current projects affecting the area. The last step consists of creating a web bulletin. The bulletin will provide users with access to information regarding current research projects, contact information for pertinent individuals and institutions, as well as hosting ongoing discussions, and supplying up to date information relative to the Upper Snake River Ecosystem. All of the available information will be obtainable on the web and have the capacity to be downloaded for the user’s convenience. The electronic bibliography, triennial conference, and web bulletin would all be available to working researchers, park management and personnel, educational institutions, public and private institutions, as well as individuals in the Jackson Hole community.
